For Mother's Day this year, Rachel and I got tickets to see Mary Poppins for us and our Mom...beacuse it was going to be fun and to celebrate her move back to NC. So, we've been waiting since February (when we bought the tickets) to see it. It was worth the wait!!
My mom and Rachel came into town Friday morning. We went out to lunch, did a little shopping, and mom even got a new haircut. :-) We got all dressed up and headed out to dinner at the Dandelion Market uptown. We had AMAZING tapas for dinner and then walked across the street to the theatre for the show. We had a really great day and it was so awesome to be able to spend some girl time with my mom and sister. Looking forward to the next adventure already! :-)
Ready to head out on the town
Yummy-licious lamb lollipops.
Cheers to sushi.
Must have been funny :-)
Lemon drops
A little champagne (from plastic glasses) before the show.

(about 4 seconds before I spilled champagne on the folks in front of us)
Oops!
Random band outside after the show.
(note the little boy in orange with the trumpet!)
Saturday afternoon Barrett and I went to a picnic with his team from work at their team leader's house. We had a really nice time...there was good food, cornhole and rock band, and we got to hang out with some great people. Barrett really does work with a great group of people. We are both very lucky in that arena.
Today...Barrett went off to draft his Fantasy Football team. Can you believe football season is here?! ECU's first game is next week! Super excited...but makes me super tired to think about it already!
I've just been studying/reading...first microbiology lab test tomorrow. Wish me luck! :-)
