Five on Friday!

Happy Friday, y'all!  (side note: when did I become a once a week blogger?! Sigh...)

1) I'm off today!  Woo hoo!!  That pretty much happens never. Haircut at 12, a little bit of "work" for R+F with my laptop at Starbucks, and maybe a pedicure?  It's 7:45 and I'm showered and ready to go, so the possibilities are endless!!

2) Ellison has a follow up appointment today for an ear infection she had a month ago. I think we're fine, but say a little prayer that her ears are clear. We don't want to end up with ear tubes if at all possible!!

3) in exactly one week, I'll be 30. 30?!  How the heck did that happen?!  No worries. I'm good with it. I'll be celebrating with my hubby, my best friend Lora, and her hubby Matt at a resort in Marco Island, Florida. All of our birthdays are within 5 days of each other!!  I CAN NOT wait!!

4) I'm wearing the first cardigan of the season today! I love a good cardigan. I legit have one in almost every color. Today's selection is mustard...

5) The above photo was my first selfie. Perhaps it's also my last!!

Y'all have a good weekend!!

Five on Friday (night)

I'm a little late posting this today, but it's still Friday, so it counts!!

1) This week has been INSANE.  I'm completely wiped out.  So, tonight, I am sitting on my couch, eating a yummy steak that my hubby is currently grilling, drinking a large glass (or two) of Malbec, and giving myself a Rodan + Fields facial.  Because I deserve it!

2) This first week of having my own business has been so amazing!  People are LOVING these products (as do I!) and it has been so fun getting all of my family and friends to love their skin again!  I am so blessed that this opportunity fell in my lap.  I'm just a little sad that it didn't fall from the heavens a little sooner!

3) My momma had knee surgery today for a torn meniscus, so y'all say a little prayer that she has a speedy recovery!  Ellie Boo and I are heading to Burlington tomorrow to give her some TLC while Barrett heads up to the Speedway for the Bank of America 500.

4) I went to my second 6:00 am FlyWheel spin class this week.  It is HARD getting up and making myself walk out the door that early (to go do cardio, nonetheless!) but it is awesome to have it all over and done with before 7:00 am!

5) Sad note, we lost one of our patients from work this week.  A sweet, curly haired, bubbly two year old who died very unexpectedly after fighting an uphill battle her entire life.  Her momma is a rockstar and was so composed as she spoke at her memorial service today.  I'd never be able to find the words, and she found all the right ones.  Say an extra prayer for this sweet family today....especially for her twin sister.  Hug your babies and your loved ones a little tighter and a little longer tonight.

XOXO

Starting My Own Business!

Oh, hey friends. Sorry about falling off the face of the planet. Been working on some big things (more on that in a second) and blogging took a back seat for a minute.

This weekend was pretty low key. We went to a cookout at a friends house, got Ellison a new car seat, grocery shopped...

Oh, and I starred my own business!

I am over the top elated, so excited to say that I've officially made one of the best decisions ever!!  I am starting my own business by joining Rodan + Fields - a world renowned and respected skin care line by the doctors who developed Proactiv!  What they did for acne they're now doing for aging skin!  Only this time, instead of infomercials, they're bringing their products to the masses by giving people like me the opportunity to start virtual franchises!

I am a child life specialist. I love my job and am so blessed to be able to work with such amazing children and families on a daily basis. It is truly my passion and I can not imagine ever leaving it. Unfortunately, child life specialists don't fall too high on the salary charts and there's very little room for growth within my profession. I had been looking for a way to supplement my family's income when my great friend (and now mentor!) Mollie told me all about the amazing experience she was having with Rodan + Fields. When I found out that I could get in on the ground floor, partner with a billion dollar brand, work around my family's schedule, and have the chance to make a significant amount of money to help support my family...I was in!!  The fact that this is a no party business and that I don't have to keep boxes of inventory at my house is just icing on the cake!

The best part of my amazing new adventure (other than having phenomenal looking skin!) is that you can try one of the regimens with no risk because they have an awesome 60 day empty bottle money back guarantee!!  What do you have to lose?!  So if you, like me, want beautiful, refreshed, and youthful looking skin, leave a comment or visit my website below for more details!!  Here's to great skin!
